3 of the Most Beautiful Tulip Farms near Chattanooga (U-Pick!)

๐ท Looking for the best tulip farms near Chattanooga? I’ve got you covered! In this list are 3 of the most beautiful tulip farms within an hour of downtown Chattanooga. Best of all, these are “u-pick” farms. This means you can pick your own tulips to take home with you!
Personally, I’ve been to each of the tulip farms listed on this page. Each one has its own beauty and unique offerings. Read below to find out all the details for visiting!
IMPORTANT: Tulip season is VERYYY short! Most of these fields will only bloom for 2 to 3 weeks after their initial opening dates (or even sooner). On top of that, tulips are highly temperature sensitive. Weather conditions can lengthen or shorten the season.
Before heading out, pay attention to each farms’ social media posts for updates! Opening dates and times are subject to change on the fly. I linked all of the farm’s social media pages below.

Aubie Smith Farms is one of my favorite tulip farms near Chattanooga. 2026 will be their 3rd season offering tulip picking for the community. This year, they have 150,000 hand-planted tulips! This is more than double what they had last year. It is truly stunning and their best field yet!

After you’re done frolicking through the fields & picking your flowers, you’ll take your bouquet to their wrapping station. There, your tulips will be bundled by farm staff and wrapped to take home.

Highlights of the farm experience include a display of Dutch history & fun facts, a brand new tractor themed playground, a fun slide, and a corn bin for kids to play in. Food trucks and local vendors will be there on the weekends as well!
You can capture beautiful photo opportunities among the tulip rows with White Oak Mountain as your backdrop. Pro tip: get low to frame your photos up close with the tulip rows in the foreground.
I love the vibrant, colorful variety of tulips they have here. Plus, the owners are the nicest people and work so hard to provide a wholesome experience for everyone to enjoy ๐
Some of their add-on experiences include gem mining, cow feeding, a barrel train, and paintball gallery. This is definitely the best farm for activities for kids!

๐ Tips for visiting Tulip Farms near Chattanooga:
– Tulips are very thirsty flowers. Consider bringing a container (vase, cup or bucket) with water for your ride home. If your tulips are looking sad before you get home, they will perk up once they get in water!
– On the same note, you can bring bags or boxes to help keep bouquets upright in your vehicle. Honestly, the last thing you want is to spend all that time picking beautiful flowers, then have them all over your floorboards!
– Generally, weekdays are much less crowded than weekends.
– Unfortunately, all of the farms shown here are not wheelchair accessible. This is due to uneven dirt fields and muddy areas if it rains.
– For picking, select tulips in the tight bud stage, where color is a little visible but the flower is not fully open. These will last much longer in your vase.
– Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes or rain boots for flower picking. Tulip fields can be muddy, especially after rain.
Whether you’re looking for a spring break outing, a fun date day, or just an excuse to fill your home with fresh flowers, these tulip farms near Chattanooga are absolutely worth the trip! Each one has its own unique features. Honestly, I’d recommend visiting all three if you have the time (you can never have too many flowers, right?)
Just remember, tulip season is short! Once they’re gone, they’re gone until next year. <3 Now go support your local flower farmers!
